DIY No Sew Donut Pillow | Decorative Pillows
Add flair to your home decor with this super cute DIY craft. Today, I’m going to show you how to make a donut pillow. This decorative pillow is just as pretty as sewn pillows but won’t take all afternoon to make. It’s super easy and the final result is very dainty and delish-looking that will surely make you crave for donuts every single time.. 🙂 . This would make a lovely accent to your couch.
Perfect as gifts or just something to snuggle with! You and your little ones will love this donut pillow. So let’s get crafty once again with this do-it-yourself foodie pillow and make one (or lots!) without picking up a needle. Let’s begin!
Materials for your donut pillow:
- 2 Donut Coloured Fabric – 1.5 yards
- 1 Icing Fabric – 0.75 yards
- Glue Gun
TIP: Your pillow can be any size you like but make sure you have double the amount of donut fabric!
Fold each square into smaller squares by folding them twice more and then place them on top of each other.
You can pin them in the center through each layer to hold them together if you want.
Cut the fabric around the edge from corner to corner to make a circle. Just make sure that the three circles have the exact same size.
Then cut the same shape on the lower corner for the hole of your donut.
You can now take off the pins to see the circle. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect circle. Take the icing fabric and cut off an inch more of its lower corner.
Cut about an inch off the outer part of the icing fabric, too.
Afterwards, you can lay the icing fabric at the center of the donut fabrics. Next, using a glue gun, apply a thin line of glue around the edge of the middle hole of the donut.
So just go all the way around the donut hole with the glue gun and press with your hands on top of it to secure the glue.
Once the icing fabric is completely attached, place the bottom layer of the donut on top of the icing with the icing fabric facing in and using our glue gun again, we’re going to glue the outside edges of the donut together. Stay as close to edge as possible making a thin line of glue while working your way all the way around. Leave a couple of inches unglued so you can flip it inside out.
Once it’s flipped inside out, let’s glue the edges around the middle hole leaving a couple of inches unglued (this is where we’ll stuff the pillow stuffing later).
Now the BEST part :). Let’s start stuffing the pillow. You can fluff it first to make sure there are no lumps in the stuffing.
