Whether you’re in New Orleans or not, celebrate Mardi Gras by dressing up, eating beignets and making DIY Mardi Gras Masks! And if you’re looking for an inspiration or two, you won’t be disappointed with the ideas I have on this blog!

DIY Mardi Gras Masks You Can Rock On The Street

When I think of Mardi Gras, I think of bright, shiny outfits, beads, dancing, parades — and masks! I know this is also a celebration most people in New Orleans don’t want to miss. The festivity is without a doubt exhilarating. Now, if you’re preparing to join the Mardi Gras weekend (or planning to attend an upcoming masquerade event), then you’re in for a treat! These masks are easy to make, not time-consuming, and are quite intriguing. Wearing any of these on the street parade will definitely get you all psych up and have that exuberant energy. While my two little girls and I won’t be hitting the streets of New Orleans, we *will* be making DIY Mardi Gras masks and dancing in our own living room! Hey, I’ll take any excuse to craft with my little ones.

1. Beaded DIY Mardi Gras Masks

If you’re interested in making DIY Mardi Gras masks, this is a great one to start with. And look at those beads! They have the official colors of the Mardi Gras- green, purple, and gold!

Mardi Gras is not just for the adults. Kids would love to participate too. So, if you have little ones, this DIY is for them. They would definitely like to make their own mask, and this printable craft is something they can handle.

3. Crayon Mardi Gras Mask

Another fun activity kids will surely love. Little ones need the assistance of an adult as this crayon Mardi Gras mask needs to melt the Crayola using a flat iron.

So so so pretty. This is on my must-try list. It may not be as colorful as the other masks, but who can say no to this beauty? White and glittery mask is definitely classic!

6. Lacey DIY Mardi Gras Mask

Here’s the opposite of our number 5 DIY Mardi Gras mask. Black Lacey mask is equally classic and regal, and oh-so-easy to make at home too.

7. DIY Ice Queen Mardi Gras Mask

Feel like being an Ice Queen? You can look fierce and dangerous with the use of glue sticks alone. Watch the tutorial and make it happen!
